- Open WhatsApp (Most important)
- Go to the WhatsApp settings by clicking three verticle dots
- Tap Data & storage usage
- Select “When using mobile data“
- Uncheck every option i.e. photos, audios, videos, and documents
That’s it. You’ve turned off auto-downloading successfully until you’re connected to the WiFi. You can turn off the auto-downloading when connected to WiFi, tap on another option “When connected on WiFi” and uncheck the options.
Stop auto-downloading on Apple iOS
Follow the given steps:
- Launch WhatsApp app on your iPhone or iPad
- Go to the settings by clicking on setting icon from the bottom right
- Tap chats
- Turn Off Save Incoming Media option.
